Jeep Grand Cherokee

Grand Theft Auto III (2001)
I like it when things work like this, Lots of people making images, and actually explaining themselves. its nice.

I could never identify the landstalker myself, I had no idea it was listed as such on this site. I personally would like to say it does not look like a Freelander in any way? I had the misfortune of buying one of those once :/ so maybe I have a bias on the fact I cant stand to see it :P

The comparisons with the jeep do work in some ways but its also.. Not quite there too, I personally always imagined it being something Japanese, But never could find something to fit the shape.

The rear end bugs me, Looks like a cross between and old Discovery and a Montero or something..

But still... Jeep is closer than Freelander

Edit:
Also I would just like to say, Using wiki to find out about game cars is a really bad idea, Check out the GTA2 wiki page if you want some eye rolling fun.

Agree - Anything from the game developer added to the game would be considered just extra content.
But as you said it does become harder now we have these kind of expansions.
Now I never would post mods on here, This is why I can not add anything to Euro Truck Simulator, My game is so riddled with mods Its hard to take a screenshot that would not have one in view.. But that's going off topic.

I guess the question we are left with is what makes mods official? If they are sold by the developer, Or if they are Only made by the developer?

Also for the discussing of rules and such things this seems.. Kind of awkward? is there any forum, or place we can all talk about these kinds of things?
Daihatsu Charade

Just Cause 3 (2015)
yeah.. It seems odd this is the same car listed as two different cars because of the number of doors?
Personally Id say its more of a first gen civic, With a taller golf like body.

@PerfTom14
Yes From what I remember, That always annoyed me too, I dislike being forced into a car in a game. Here is some cash.. Buy a car, How about this one?

No Id rather look for something a little older first.

Tough.

And with that I was forced into the Honda dealership at gunpoint.

Freightliner FLC 112

Street Racer Europe (2009)
That appears to be a Freightliner grill. But the rest of the truck seems generic and made up.
Chevrolet Silverado

Syria: Russian Storm (2017)
The front is very squared, Id agree with AutoTracker, GMC, Or Chevrolet.

Train Simulator (2009)
well, The rules seem to sometimes be different from page to page here if I'm honest

So Only DLC planned from the start, Granted The stories of liberty city was built into the game from the start, but does that mean the cars added from now on, Should not be added due to the fact they were not all planned from the very start of the game as the text you showed said? and I'm sure not all Forza cars were planned, Nowadays there are Paid mods, and there are DLC, To me these are more expansions to the game, since they are provided by Dovetail, for Train simulator, Sold on there site, and are in the DLC section of train simulators steam page. To me I would not class this the same as third part y paid mods you get from other sites (such as armstrongpowerhouse a site that Sells good quality mods for train simulator)

In short, This is as official as DLC gets, Think of dovetail as just a Publisher then?

I guess the easiest thing for me to do is.. Not add any content to this site.
I will just sit back and watch other people upload cars and then start arguments that way. I have no problem researching cars, But I don't want to look into who made what DLC for what game, and if it was the original dev or not.

Edit:
Just to note, I am not being aggressive or confrontational here, Please Calmly tell me if I have misinterpreted anything you have said here, Sometimes things come across differently in text

Train Simulator (2009)
What counts as official?
I go by anything that is sold under the DLC section on steam, Excluding workshop items.
Its also sold on dovetails official Train simulator site under routes.

And Id say more 'Official' than many of the mobile, or web games on here.

Truck only ever appears once, when it unloads the train on The Corris Railway DLC
Tho the invisible track still exists during later scenarios.

Comes with the GWR 56XX Pack - So I assume its something British from WW2
Scammell Highwayman

Train Simulator (2009)
From the Isle of Wight DLC

The most low detail vehicle I have ever seen in Trainsim, Appears in the distance during a heritage run on the Isle of Wight along side the steam tractors and such, so I'm assuming its British despite the long hood. I will try look into it more later.
Fowler Showmans Road Locomotive

Train Simulator (2009)
From the Isle of Wight DLC.

I looked up the license plate there and it turns out this is an exact copy of a real steam tractor, Same colors, name, plate.
The others are just recolors, and modified versions of this so I labled them as the same type.

Acura Integra

Midnight Outlaw: Illegal Street Drag Nitro Edition (2003)
I would say its not the exact model? The headlights look more sunk in on the other, the roof looks lower, there's a bar across the front bumper grill, the wheel wells I'm sure are slightly larger here, the mirrors are definitely more rounded. Tho it may be based of the same original mesh, Cant tell without having them both to look at.

Ford Bronco

Train Simulator (2009)
Yes, Now if only it were a 2door, they could just pass it as a Bronco.

From the textures I think its meant to be something like a late 70s Cherokee or such.

I was waiting for these to appear so I could write what DLC they are from, The green buses are from Riviera, This is from weardale and teesdale I belive.

I had it all typed out somewhere, Let me go double check it all and I will type up what is from what.

heh.. I rented a Q50 last year, Nice drive, still prefer my older cars..
Stupid question tho, Whats with all the names? Is it just because Nissan is not considered a prestige car in most countries? Like the Lexus thing?..

The earliest I could find was 1950. But there is no info on any wiki or such that I can find. But Im pretty sure that it is the closest truck to this shape wise.

It's not a Kenworth. Look at the shape of fenders and bonnet and then talk crap. I agree with Western Star but we need to find the exact model.

Well the one I showed is a Western Star 4900. But after reading over the sales brochure They don't sell a single axel variant, Whereas the T800 does. Still If I am to go on appearance alone I would still say 4900. If you google that tho you will see variants with different hoods and such, But the same is true for the T800.
So I guess it is down to whats more important here? The style of toe body, Or the number of axles.
It could be the game designers did not really look into it to much and just pulled some google images down of modern trucks. so Who knows.

the world of trucks seems confusing.
I think I find something and it all falls apart after that, hm. well At least we know its not the usual P30 or such :B

Turns out the same body is also used on a Ford E series chassis? Well I just don't know how to class this one then.

Well, there was a an update that replaced the 2006 Dodge R/T with the Charger. So yeah, this was a placeholder rather than a legit Intrepid.

Ah, I see, I wondered why It did look so different from all the other intrepid Nascars I saw.
Toyota Sprinter Trueno

Battlefield: Hardline (2015)
Well it does not have the black striping and all that.
Would this not be just like, a Corolla GTS?
Im not a Toyota expert It just seems that a Corolla GTS would be more likely than it actually being a Sprinter Trueno?
Dodge Charger NASCAR

NASCAR SimRacing (2005)
I figured I would look more into Nascar to put a nail in this :P

But it only got more confusing, The real life version of these cars, of these years have Charger clearly written on the front ends, And are listed on some places As chargers, But are still listed in other sites photos as Intrpeids

So looking further I read about the return of the Charger to Nascar

This reveal photo was apparently taken in January the 11th 2005,

And since the game was released in February of the same year That doesn't leave an awful lot of time in the game development world, I doubt they would still be making car models by then, I have no idea if the charger was known about Before then tho.

So I assume they just had charger wrote on the car as an advertisement?
So lets compare the 19/9 Intrepid of that era, against the charger in the above picture.

Hopefully this will samp out any further arguments :P

Audi A6

German Truck Simulator (2010)
It seems everyone was a little frustrated at that point. Still, I can see from both sides, why people would say, what they said, I guess screenshots are all down to personal preference, Luckily for me I tend to play lots of games with cameras, and screenshot modes. so its pretty impossible to get a bad shot.

But I must admit I did find it slightly odd when I looked at the GTA page, and saw cars, upside down, and on fire, and other such things. now me.. And this is just My personal preference, But if it were me I would have all cars taken, in non action shots, in good lighting, Unmodified, undamaged and so on.

But yes, some games, especially older ones with no replays, or screenshot modes Can be problematic when it comes to taking good shots, And don't I know that from old modding days...
